Recent tax reform will affect nearly every taxpayer. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) changes the way we claim exemptions, dependents, deductions and even medical expenses. South Coast will be hosting a series of meetings exploring the areas of risk and opportunity that this new legislation has presented.
While the plan did double the standard deduction and simplify tax reporting for the majority of individuals, the tax reform bill in many cases increases complexity – especially for high income earners and businesses. Haynie & Company, one of the leading CPA and Management Consulting firms in Orange County will be joining the South Coast team to answer specific questions as it relates to the impact of these tax changes. We will be spending some time specifically on ways to mitigate the new limits on mortgage deductions and state and local income taxes.
