  • PASSCO Companies – Exchanging the Terrible T’s of Hands-On Property Ownership for the Ease & Efficiencies of a DST

  • Griffin Capital – Creating Dependable, Tax-Efficient Income in Retirement
Retirement calls for a disciplined balance of spending enough to enjoy what you’ve earned, while not depleting your savings in your lifetime, a tricky proposition in today’s yield starved environment. This session will focus on how to turn retirement assets into income. Griffin Capital offers retirees dependable tax-efficient income through institutional real estate and debt portfolios.

Breakout Session 2

  • SmartStop Self Storage – A Smarter Way to Invest
On October 1st, 2015 Strategic Storage Trust, Inc will close on one of the most successful liquidity events ever for a non-traded REIT in the $1.4 billion merger of SmartStop Self Storage with Extra Space.  Today, the opportunity in this space remains massive.  Adding self-storage to a diversified portfolio can have a dramatic effect in reducing volatility while creating sustainable, recession-resistant income, ideal for retirees.  Discover why self-storage has been one of the best performing types of real estate over the last 40 years.
  • Jackson National – Investing with Confidence Amongst a Sea of Constant Change
Economies and markets are constantly in a state of flux which means that your portfolio must be nimble enough to acclimate to the ever-changing landscape. Jackson National’s Elite Access has created a platform for investors to easily utilize a vast, diverse mix of both traditional and alternative investment strategies to help mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities as they arise over time.
  • RK Properties – Driving Rents to Drive Growth: The Opportunity in Value-Add Apartments
In an environment where interest rates will likely be on the rise over the coming years, now more than ever real estate investors need to find avenues to increase revenues generated by their rental properties to combat these higher rates. RK will provide insight into their tried and true methods for adding to cash flow and in turn adding value to the bottom line.

Breakout Session 3

  • Griffin Capital – Never Before Access to Top Institutional Real Estate Managers
The largest Endowments, Pension Plans, and State Retirement Plans have been utilizing institutional real estate managers for the last 35+ years for the stable income they deliver and downside protection they provide. With minimum investment sizes of $10m+, these strategies have never been available to the average retail investor, until now. Learn how to invest in the same exact portfolios and discover how institutional real estate has delivered an average return of 11% over the last 37 years.
  • Cottonwood Residential – Renting: The New American Dream
Multifamily housing has been one of the best performing sectors in commercial real estate over the last few years due in large part to strong demographic trends and moderate economic expansion in the US. These trends are likely to continue with home-ownership rates stagnating, seniors looking to downsize, and the emergence of the Echo Boomer generation which will be 71 million strong by 2017. Cottonwood Residential Inc. is a fully integrated real estate investment company that focuses solely on the acquisition and management of multifamily properties in growing markets across the US. Amenities in these properties include resort style pools, state of the art exercise rooms, multi-media rooms, volleyball courts, and outdoor kitchens catering to where a new generation of renters wants to live.
  • Going Green – California Passes 50% Renewables by 2030
California and many other states have adopted renewable energy standards – which require electric utility companies in those states to produce a portion of their electricity from solar, wind and other renewable sources. Since 1970, decreasing prices for PV cells have been driving down the cost of solar power to where it is generally considered to be close to “grid parity.” Sustainable, reliable energy can also mean sustainable, reliable income in retirement, and the opportunities remain vast in this space.

Breakfast & Lunch will be served. Please RSVP to Megan Proulx at info@southcoastinvest.com or call the South Coast Office at 877-922-7242.
