Steve Beckett, KBS Capital Markets Group, will be joining the South Coast Team to discuss KBS Strategic Opportunity REIT II. This strategy focuses on “special situation” or mis-managed real estate where KBS is able to add tremendous value through their decades of experience in repositioning properties through improvements and additional lease-up after acquiring them. We will be focusing on several case studies of projects currently in the portfolio including the most recent $102.5 million acquisition of The Lofts at Noho Commons in North Hollywood, CA, the $48 million invested in the 210 West 31st Street development project in Manhattan, NY, and the $51.2 million that acquired the Q&C Hotel in New Orleans, LA.
This non-traded REIT will be announcing its first estimated value per share based on net asset value in early June and close the offering shortly thereafter. Shareholders today have an excellent entry point given the potential value creation that has already taken place in the portfolio but is not yet represented in the share price.
